Ace the Fox is the newest addition to the BUSD Food Services family; he is our elementary Food Services mascot. Ace is a very friendly and energetic fifth grader who likes to teach kids about the importance of living a healthy lifestyle by eating right, exercising everyday, studying hard and getting enough rest so they can always be at their best while still having fun. He encourages his friends to try different activities and new things as well as take the things they learn in school and use it in their everyday lives. Ace also loves to travel and find out neat things about different places and people. He loves all healthy foods that taste great because he knows they will help him grow up to be big and strong!
Our “ACE’s Active Adventures” program has been designed to engage students with fun facts and teach nutritional habits they need to grow healthy and strong. A proper diet improves student physical and mental strength, fights illness and provides energy and nutrients to keep their bodies functioning properly. Healthy eating will help your students excel in the classroom and at home. Throughout the year, Ace and his friends will be spreading his message of eating right and exercising through special promotions and programs:
Ace Monthly Menu Placement
Ace and his friends will be featured on the monthly elementary menus.
Ace’s Active Adventures
Each month, ACE and his friends will be demonstrating a new activity while conveying a nutritional message. ACE and friends will be featured in collection cards that every student will receive with their lunch in the cafeteria during the week of the special Ace giveaway (which will be noted on the monthly menu). In addition to the “collection cards”, students will receive a fun, educational gift to help them learn more about these different activities. Examples of these gifts include items such as a coloring book, an educational comic book, and activity log book. Ace’s Active Adventures incorporates nutrition awareness to support BUSD's wellness policy and promote healthy meal consumption.

Ace will be visiting select elementary schools during lunchtime to share his message with the students!
Ace Fan Club
